There’s a strong national security case for action. Clean energy is home-grown, locally grown, creates good paying local jobs. Keeps local dollars in local economies. Boosts rural America via agrivoltaics and cattlevotaics, etc. Rooftop solar, community solar, local micro-grids allow individuals and local efforts and businesses to generate their own power instead of being beholden to a state-sanctioned monopoly. Yes, all kinds of “conservative” reasons to be pro-climate action. And then there’s all the dumb reasons why conservatives/Republicans haven’t been in favor of climate action.
Its curious that climate action is mainly supported by the left. It isnt inherently a left thing.
